Foundational Family Services
This workshop centres on the belief that the focus in childhood development should be on the things that are most important to individuals and their families. Using the “F words” of childhood development (Function, Family, Fitness, Future, Friends, Fun) as a foundation, this workshop teaches parents/caregivers about the different “F words,” and how to consider your family’s needs to create individual or functional goals. Caregivers will be given the tools they need to build SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-Oriented) goals that work for their family, based on the six Fs of childhood Development.
This workshop is led by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), Family Engagement Program Assistant and Service Navigator. Registrants will have the opportunity to participate in discussions and ask questions.
Foundational Family Services are available to persons under the age of 18, and their families, registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). When you have registered, you will receive a receipt that contains the link for your secure Zoom meeting.
