Medical specialists at Grandview offer consultation, assessment, and diagnosis services. They advocate and refer to additional medical specialist services, as needed.
Grandview’s medical specialists DO NOT provide primary care. Instead, they work closely with your family physician.
- Geographic Criteria: Children living in Durham Region.
- Age Criteria: Newborn to 10 years, dependent on the area of concern.
- For children with severe motor disabilities such as CP, SMA or Spina Bifida, up to their 21st birthday.
- Diagnostic Criteria: Complex developmental issues and delays, autism, genetic syndromes, motor issues (i.e., Cerebral Palsy), etc. (Please see Provincial resources for further information)
Referral Process – How to Access Grandview’s Medical Services and Supports
A completed Grandview Children’s Centre Referral Form will be required to access Medical Services, as well as other services requested, to meet your child’s current developmental needs. All Medical Services referrals must be completed by a physician.
