A Portal account is required for ABA Purchased Services clients
The information on this page refers to Purchased Service clients or Purchased Services programs that access our Focused Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Mediated ABA programs. Families enrolled in ABA programs must register for and use the Grandview Kids Client and Family Portal (Portal). The Portal manages payments, invoices and receipts for these programs. Enrollment in the Portal is optional for all other Purchased Services and Core Clinical Services.
What is the Grandview Kids Client and Family Portal?
The Grandview Kids Client and Family Portal (Portal) is a free, secure website available through AlayaCare. Grandview Kids uses AlayaCare to keep health records. The Portal gives you access to your or your child’s health information at Grandview Kids, which includes some clinical documents and reports. Grandview Kids requires Purchased Services clients accessing ABA programs to submit a Portal Request form to view invoices and financial records and pay for their services.
Rread this entire webpage to learn more about the Portal, including eligibility criteria, the benefits of having an account and how to create one.
To get a Portal account, you must complete the Portal Request form to request access to the Portal. This form highlights the Portal’s privacy considerations and other important information. If you have questions after reviewing the document, please email ClientFamilyPortalSupport@grandviewkids.ca.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for a Portal account if you are:
- An active Grandview Kids client age 16 or older*
- A Grandview Kids client’s parent or legal guardian (if both parents have legal decision-making rights, each may request access)
*If the client is under 16 years of age, a parent or legal guardian can request access to the Portal.
There are limitations on who may access a client’s Portal account and how many individuals may access it. The limitations are:
- Only two Portal user accounts are allowed per client.
- Access is limited and is not provided to organizations such as children’s aid societies, school boards and other similar organizations currently.
- Discharged clients cannot request a Portal account. Discharged clients can request access to their health records through the Release of Information process.
Grandview Kids requires eligible Purchased Services clients to use the Portal. The Portal is where caregivers access and pay invoices and find their receipts.
Benefits of a Portal account
The Portal offers a free, secure and convenient way to access select clinical resources from Grandview Kids. With a Portal account, families can log in anytime to:
- View invoices, pay for Purchased Services and access their receipts without opening encrypted emails.
- View some of their or their child’s health records online in one secure place.
- Access some clinical reports and letters soon after we finish them, so you don’t have to wait for them through email or physical mail.
How to register for a Portal account
All Portal accounts are created by Grandview Kids on behalf of eligible clients and families. This ensures only those with permission can access a client’s health record.
Eligible Portal users must first complete the Grandview Kids Client and Family Portal Request Form to initiate a request for a Portal account.
If your request is approved, you will receive an email from AlayaCare confirming your account has been activated. This may take up to four weeks. You must then complete the simple instructions in the activation email to create your account.
Important: If you urgently need a report from Grandview Kids, please follow the Release of Information process on the “Privacy” page.
Limitations of the Portal
While the Portal allows quick access to some clinical documents, keep these limitations in mind:
- Clinical reports may take up to several weeks to appear in the Portal.
- Reports that have sensitive information, such as new diagnoses, will be reviewed with families first before being uploaded into the portal.
- The Portal does not contain a client’s complete health record.
- The Portal does not enable or replace communication with your care team at Grandview Kids.
- Client Portal accounts are closed 30 days following discharge from Grandview Kids’ services. Discharged clients must download any documents or receipts they need by the end of this 30-day window.
For a complete review of the risks associated with using the Portal, your responsibilities as a Portal user and the terms of use, please refer to the request form.
Frequently Asked Questions
What information will I find in the Portal?
A selection of documents created by Grandview Kids clinicians will be available in the Portal. These documents include assessment reports (initial, reassessment and discharge), recommendation letters, diagnostic reports and relevant clinical handouts (such as those available on the “Resources for Parents and Caregivers” page).
Purchased Services clients will have access to their weekly invoices and receipts, as well as any requested statements of account.
Important: The Portal does not contain a client’s complete health record. Only documents created after your Portal account is created will be available. If you need help accessing documents not available in the Portal, please follow the Release of Information process.
Is creating a Portal account the only way to access my personal health information?
No. You do not need a Portal account to access your personal health information.
You can always request access to your personal health information through our existing Release of Information process. The existing Release of Information process will not go away.
Is creating a Portal account the only way to access my financial information?
Yes. Unless Grandview Kids denies Portal access, clients must use their Portal account to view and pay invoices and access receipts. The Portal is the only way to access this information. As of X, Grandview Kids will stop sending invoices and receipts by encrypted email.
Why has Grandview switched its payment process for Purchased Services clients?
The Portal provides a single, secure location where clients can view invoices and receipts, make payments, and access signed financial and service agreements. Moving to the Portal reduces the number of encrypted emails clients receive and provides direct access to important financial information whenever needed, without contacting Grandview Kids.
Do I have to use the Portal to make payments for Purchased Services?
Yes. The Payment Portal will be the primary and required method for ABA Purchased Services’ clients to view and pay invoices and access receipts. Alternative arrangements may be available for clients whose services are funded through the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) or for clients who have been denied Portal access by Grandview Kids.
How many users can access the Portal for one client?
Each client may have up to two Portal user accounts. If both parents or caregivers of a Grandview Kids client have legal decision-making rights, each may be authorized to create a Portal account. Both users may be set up with billing access to pay invoices and view receipts or other documents.
Can I edit documents in the Portal?
No. Documents accessed within the Portal are final. If you believe information in a document needs correction, please follow the Request for Correction process found on our Privacy page.
If you have any questions about the content of your invoice or receipt, please email PurchasedServices@grandviewkids.ca.
Where can I access the Portal?
Click here to access the Portal. When we created your Portal account, we also sent you a confirmation email. That email also includes a confirmation link taking you to the Portal.
How do I use the Portal?
Detailed instructions on how to view and pay invoices and view documents can be found here.
Please visit our “Getting started with the Client and Family Portal” page for more general information about using the Portal.
Can I access the Portal after I have been discharged from Grandview Kids?

Discharged clients who do not already have Portal access cannot create a Portal account. Discharged clients can request access to their health records through the Release of Information process.
Is the Portal secure?
Yes. The Portal is a secure website available through AlayaCare. AlayaCare is a secure digital software platform. The Portal uses secure login procedures and multi-factor authentication to keep your information safe.
