Who initiates a School-Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) referral?
All SBRS referrals are initiated and completed via Ocean eReferral by the child or youth’s School Staff (i.e., Principal and/or Special Education Resource Teacher), or internally by a Grandview Kids clinician if the student is already a Grandview Kids client.
Please be advised
Families and legal guardians are not able to self-refer for SBRS.
How School Staff submit an SBRS Ocean eReferral
Grandview Kids accepts SBRS referrals from School Staff digitally via the Ocean eReferral Network.
Please email support@oceanmd.com if you have any questions about the Ocean eReferral Network or the SBRS eReferral process.
What role do parents/caregivers/legal guardians play in the SBRS referral process?
Legal Guardians must provide consent for their child’s participation in SBRS and are encouraged to participate as much as possible throughout the entire process to ensure the successful attainment of the child’s goals.
If you feel that your child may benefit from therapy services within their school, please consult with your child’s educational team to discuss eligibility criteria and a potential referral for services.

Subscribe to Grandview Kids’ bi-annual SBRS newsletter
Grandview Kids’ SBRS newsletter is for teachers, resource teachers, early childhood educators, educational assistants, administrators, and other school staff who are interested in learning more about creating inclusive, supportive classrooms for students with different needs and abilities.
Crafted exclusively for our school partners, this must-read newsletter will offer updates about Grandview Kids’ programs and services that are the most relevant to you. We will also share helpful tips from our clinicians that can be used in your schools and classrooms.
The newsletter will be distributed twice a year: once in the Fall (at the start of the school year), and once in the Spring (before the school year draws to a close).
