Ocean eReferral digitizes the paper-based fax referral process of requesting care, service and support from a healthcare provider. Ocean eReferral is free to health service providers in Ontario as part of the Ontario Ministry of Health-funded Ontario eServices Program. This new process improves the efficiency of the referral process. For users on EMRs/HISs that are (or can be) integrated with Ocean eReferral (including Accuro, Telus PS Suite and Oscar Pro), you can also seamlessly launch auto-populated referrals directly from the patient chart in your EMR/HIS.
New to Ocean eReferral?
For assistance in getting set up on Ocean eReferral (including integration with Accuro, Telus PS Suite or Oscar Pro EMR), you can complete this support form. Alternatively, you can also email the eReferral team supporting Grandview Kids at support@oceanmd.com (please include your clinic/organization name, postal code and EMR/HIS).
Before submitting an eReferral via Ocean, you need an Ocean user account and an associated Ocean site. If you prefer to create your Ocean site and account yourself, click the respective button below and follow Step 1 and Step 2 (please ignore the “Note for Ontario Users” on that page), and then continue by reviewing the “Submitting an Ocean eReferral” steps through the next button.
Paediatricians and primary care physicians must submit an Ocean eReferral.
