Professional Activity and Provincial Priority Days
August 31 – Provincial Priority Day
- Who – Grandview School

- Topic – Welcome Back/Student Well-Being, School Safety and Violence Prevention
- Presenter/Facilitator – Administration
- Description – School team will review practical and effective strategies through in-person group sessions to support student learning, well-being and ensure staff are supported in their everyday duties through sessions on Expectations for Safe, Secure and Inclusive Schools, Workplace Violence Awareness, and Systems and Structures to Support Student Engagement. This professional activity day will be facilitated and hosted by school staff at the school level.
October 6 – Provincial Priority Day

- Description – Professional learning on early reading instruction, universal design for learning and early screening to support students in a manner consistent with the recommendations in the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s Right report.

- Description – Educators will spend the day report card writing for Term Two.
April 8 – Provincial Priority

- Description – Staff were trained on the use of self advocacy for students in selecting appropriate tools for supporting learning goals.
