Grandview Children’s Centre is currently recruiting one individual to join our Board of Trustees and other individuals to join Board Committees as Community Representatives.
Grandview Children’s Centre provides expert paediatric assessment, specialized medical and other treatment, rehabilitation and child development services to children and youth with physical, communication and developmental needs and their families.
Grandview is the only Children’s Treatment Centre in Durham Region. Grandview has been serving the Durham Region community since 1953. Grandview’s work has a broad impact in our community, changing lives daily.
We seek individuals who want to help our organization develop and grow to meet the needs of our expanding community and who are aligned with our mission and values.
As we enter the next 4 years of unprecedented growth and build a new facility, we are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in Government Relations, Communications and Marketing to join the Board.
We are also seeking individuals with Finance, Construction, Health System Performance, Digital Service Delivery, and Quality Measurement expertise to join our Board Committees.
In order to be eligible to stand for election as a Trustee, each nominee must:
- Be a resident of Durham or in the opinion of the Board maintain a direct and substantial interest in Durham, or, in the opinion of the Board, have the potential to make a significant contribution to Grandview, and
- Support and promote the purposes and objectives of the Corporation
In order to be eligible to join as a Community Representative, each individual must support and promote the purpose and objectives of Grandview.

The Grandview Children’s Centre Board meets monthly, as do subcommittees of the Board. A minimum of 6 hours commitment per month is required for Board Trustees and 2 hours per month for Community Representatives.
It is anticipated that members will also participate in Grandview events.
