Molly, age nine, is a happy and productive child. At 22 months old, she was diagnosed with autism after her parents approached the family doctor with concerns about her late development.
At the suggestion of a family friend, Molly was enrolled at Grandview Children’s Centre for Speech-Language Therapy. As she grew older, she was also given Occupational Therapy and ABA-based Autism Services. For her kindergarten years, she attended Grandview’s partner school, Campbell Children’s School.
Thanks to Grandview’s paediatric experts, and the support of her family, Molly has made significant improvement talking with children her own age. She has taken up a number of hobbies, such as skating, bird watching, and horseback riding on a horse named Sprinkles.
